CHIMEI Corporation has joined the world’s first1 global supply chain dedicated to producing renewable plastics for Sony Corporation (Sony) ’s high performance audio visual products. Spanning fourteen companies across five countries and regions, this initiative—part of Sony and Mitsubishi Corporation’s “Creating NEW from reNEWable materials” project—introduces a traceable and verifiable supply chain model that accelerates the transition away from virgin fossil based plastics.
